Purchase/Sales Ledger Supervisor

Location -Skelmersdale

Monday - Friday 09:00-17:00

Salary : £30.000 - £32.000

Ideal Recruit is excited to announce we are recruiting for a Purchase/Sales Ledger, for our reputable client. This list is not exhaustive, and the successful position holder may be required to carry out any task which the Company might reasonably require you to do.

The ideal candidate must have experience with-in a managerial role, in return our client offers a fantastic benefits package.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Manage transactional activities within Purchase Ledger (1000+ invoices per month).
  • Manage sales ledger.
  • Reconciliation of complex supplier statements.
  • Ensure month end report deadlines are achieved in a timely manner.
  • Query Resolution.
  • Liaise with staff at all levels across the business to achieve monthly targets.
  • Supervise the Purchase & Sales Ledger team.
  • Checking invoices to ensure they are appropriately authorised and coded.
  • Monitor correct authorisation and coding of expense claims.
  • Working knowledge of VAT regulations to ensure accurate input VAT recovery.

Skills/Experience/Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role and working in a fast-paced accounts environment.
  • Good computer literacy and proficient in Microsoft Excel alongside experience in Sage 200.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent organisation skills
  • Strong communication and ability to build relationships with external supervisors.
  • AAT qualified or qualified by experience in similar role.

Successful candidate(s) will be required to undergo a basic Disclosure and Barring Services (DBS) Check.
