My client are a leading mechanical and electrical engineering contractor who have gained an excellent reputation for delivering high-quality Mechanical and Electrical projects across the UK.

They provide a full range of mechanical and electrical services across the public and private sectors delivering projects across the commercial, education, renewable energy, healthcare, and leisure industries.

They have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their growing business and oversee a range of newly secured M&E projects.

As the Senior Quantity Surveyor, your duties will include:

  • Reviewing project costs for accuracy and addressing any discrepancies.
  • Evaluating, pricing, negotiating, and finalising budgets and costs for project scope changes.
  • Developing and maintaining procurement schedules.
  • Preparing bills of quantities and schedules of works to facilitate accurate project pricing.
  • Cost control and value management strategies.
  • Monthly forecasts, CVRs, and Profit & Loss statements.
  • Oversee the commercial aspects of projects.
  • Manage cash flow.
  • Manage subcontractor payments.
  • Variation Account and forecast final accounts.

Requirements:

  • Experience of working within the Mechanical and Electrical sector
  • Degree qualified in quantity surveying/or similar (HNC, etc) (Desirable)
  • Strong analytical and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
