A fantastic primary school in Skelmersdale is seeking a dedicated Teacher of SEND/SEMH to join their team and make a positive impact on the lives of young learners.
About the RoleThis is a full-time position working with primary-aged students who have Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) and/or Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. You will:
- Plan and deliver engaging and tailored lessons to meet the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a nurturing, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
- Support students' academic, emotional, and social development.
- Collaborate with support staff, therapists, and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to education.
- Effectively manage and de-escalate challenging behaviour.

What We're Looking ForWe are seeking a teacher who:
- Holds QTS or QTLS (essential).
- Has experience working with students with SEND and/or SEMH needs, preferably in a primary school setting.
- Demonstrates strong classroom management skills and a calm, positive approach to behaviour.
- Is passionate about making a difference and helping every child reach their full potential.
- Is a team player who can work collaboratively with staff, parents, and external professionals.
