We are currently recruiting for a Financial Controller to join MGG Health.

This is a permanent, full time role which will be a blend of office working in our Skipton offices and home working.

The Financial Controller is responsible for overseeing the financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and effective financial management. This role involves working closely with the Finance Director and Commercial Finance Manager to develop financial strategies and provide insights to support MGG's overall business objectives.

Here's some of the key responsibilities:

    • Prepare the financial statements of MGG companies
    • Preparation of the monthly management accounts
    • Assist with forecasting, budgets, monthly board report, commission calculations, POR's and any other ad hoc tasks as and when needed
    • Conduct detailed financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement, in particular, focus on MGG's balance sheets ensuring all balance sheet account reconciliations are performed and reviewed monthly
    • Proactively look for efficiencies in reporting and continually challenge current procedures to ensure they are as efficient as possible
    • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and manage financial risks, including internal controls and audits. Take ownership of the audit process for all MGG entities.
    • Assist with' compliance over taxation and work closely with the Group FC to ensure robust policies and procedures are in place
    • Line management responsibility for the management accounts team
    • Provide strong leadership skills to help develop and support the management accounts team to ensure future progression is encouraged.
