Financial Reporting Specialist

We are seeking a Group Accountant / Financial Reporting Specialist to ensure the delivery of timely and accurate management information to the Board to support strategic decision-making and to meet statutory reporting requirements. This role is integral to the production of financial statements and management information, and requires a candidate with strong technical expertise in financial accounting.

Day to Day of the role:
  • Produce Group Annual and Interim Financial Statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely production of Group management information for the Board.
  • Continuously develop and challenge monthly Board management information.
  • Produce the consolidation of the Group Corporate Plan and Quarterly Forecast Financials.
  • Maintain a strong control environment within the core financial reporting team processes.
  • Provide technical/financial accounting support to various stakeholders.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships to achieve objectives.
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to get to the root cause of issues.
  • High level of attention to detail and good organisational and time management skills.
  • Understanding of current accounting standards, practice, and guidance.
  • Knowledge of accounting processes and a good understanding of Group consolidation processes.
  • Relevant accountancy experience.
  • Degree level education or equivalent and professional accountancy qualification (e.g. CIMA, ACCA, ACA). (desirable)
