We are working with an exclusive client based near Skipton who is currently looking for someone to join their team in this newly created position. The business has grown organically over the last few years and now has an amazing offering for their customers within this niche market.
They have several subsidiaries within the Group and this role will provide financial reporting and commercial analysis for some of the national and overseas entities. They will require tighter controls and processes within the reporting of the financials, as well as development of the KPI’s to support business growth and transparency of efficiencies and profitability.
Duties as Management Accountant will include: -
- Produce monthly management accounts for completion to the Board with full commentary and explanation of variances.
- Responsible for the effective management of the cashflow forecasting process and daily bank position.
- Assist with the gross margin reports for projects and explanation of variances.
- Analysis of WIP on long term projects, managing costs and monitoring GM.
- Develop and monitor all accounting systems and business transactions, improving where necessary.
- Support the sales ledger and purchase ledger personnel in all transactional reporting.
- Maintain an accurate fixed asset register across the Group.
- Accruals and Prepayments.
- Preparation of the VAT returns for all Group entities ready for review.
You will ideally be studying towards Qualifying within the profession (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) in the next 12 months, ideally being at the final stages, with some solid experience with the month end reporting processes. The role offers progression moving forward as the Group is growing, so you can look to develop into a more senior position over time.
You must reside within the UK upon application, and be able to attend the office on a daily basis.
