Overview:We are seeking an experienced Marketing Planning Manager to oversee and drive the strategic planning of our marketing communications across multiple teams, including Martech, campaign managers, and CRM specialists. This is a short-term contract role that requires someone with a deep understanding of both digital and traditional CRM tools, as well as experience with Martech, specifically within the Adobe tech stack.

The Marketing Planning Manager will be responsible for leading and guiding the CRM programme to engage existing customers effectively, ensuring data-driven, well-timed messaging across omnichannel platforms. You will work closely with internal stakeholders and external partners to optimise the use of Adobe Campaign and other Martech tools to unlock new possibilities for customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the Marketing Planning function, coordinating with the Martech team, campaign managers, and CRM professionals.
  • Drive strategic planning for customer engagement initiatives, focusing on data-driven decisions for impactful communications.
  • Collaborate with the Mar-tech team to maximise the potential of the Adobe tech stack (particularly Adobe Campaign) for delivering optimised CRM programmes.
  • Oversee direct and email marketing campaigns, ensuring that they are aligned with broader business goals and are delivering the desired customer engagement.
  • Act as a key interface between the internal Martech team and external Adobe specialists, facilitating knowledge sharing and uncovering new ways to leverage the technology.
  • Manage stakeholder relationships effectively, ensuring smooth communication and influencing decisions at all levels.
  • Ensure a high-quality CRM programme that focuses on data-driven events and well-timed customer messaging across omnichannel platforms.

Key Skills and Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of Adobe Campaign and the Adobe tech stack (not hands-on but capable of bridging the gap between internal teams and Adobe specialists).
  • Proven experience in omnichannel marketing, including both digital and traditional CRM tools.
  • Strong background in CRM, with a focus on data-driven customer engagement.
  • Experience managing stakeholder relationships and influencing decisions at various levels.
  • Ability to work with a cross-functional team, driving alignment between marketing, tech, and external partners.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to persuade and influence.
  • Ability to work independently while reporting to senior leadership (Matt).
  • Experience with Martech systems, particularly those used for customer engagement, will be a significant advantage.
