White Label is representing an engineering business in Skipton that require a Project Engineer to bolster their team.
This hands-on role involves supporting various functions across the supply chain, manufacturing, and customer support. As a key liaison, the Project Engineer will work closely with internal and external sales teams, assist key account managers with new projects, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
The role is based full time at their site in Skipton with the hours being Monday – Thursday 08:00 – 16:00 and Friday 08:00 – 13:00.
My client is offering a salary up to £45,000 depending on experience.
Responsibilities of the Project Engineer
- Act as a product specialist, providing technical support to internal and external sales teams.
- Manage new product development, implementation, and project organisation.
- Manage the approval process for samples of new products and product revisions.
- Handle engineering changes and supplier/customer change requests.
- Design and manufacture jigs and fixtures for production processes.
- Manage SolidWorks drawings and related documentation.
- Create part numbers, BoMs, assembly instructions, and visual aids for production teams.
- Identify and implement continuous improvement opportunities.
- Provide day-to-day technical assistance to the production team.
Qualifications/Experience required of the Project Engineer
- Minimum HNC qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 years or more experience in project engineering or project management.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
- Competence in generating detailed reports and technical specifications.
- 3D CAD experience (ideally Solidworks).
