We are seeking a Finance Officer to join our strong and diverse team on a temporary to permanent basis. This role is ideal for someone with robust finance experience who can adhere to financial procedures and ensure sound financial management within the organisation.
Day-to-day of the role:- Process orders and invoices, manage bank accounts, and handle the collection and banking of income.
- Maintain and update the contracts register for ongoing contractual and regular commitments.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, including petty cash, and check salary payments produced by payroll, resolving any issues.
- Maintain robust monitoring systems for routine processing, such as payments to contractors.
- Submit monthly purchase card returns and ensure all financial records are securely filed and backed up.
- Regularly maintain the financial system and ensure monthly reconciliation with external records.
- Manage best value processes and provide administrative support as required.
- Proven experience in finance, with a strong understanding of financial regulations and procedures.
- Ability to serve as the primary contact for financial queries and support various departments.
- Experience in handling audits, processing orders and invoices, and managing bank operations.
- Skilled in maintaining financial records, performing bank reconciliations, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.
