Join our airfreight team at London Heathrow and embark on a comprehensive learning journey in the airfreight import business. Initially focusing on Fashion accounts and general import operations, this role offers a pathway to mastering all facets of airfreight imports, including clearance and delivery arrangements.

Day-to-day of the role:
  • Work within the Air Import Department as a proactive team member.
  • Manage communications through a joint email box.
  • Handle new shipments from initiation to completion.
  • Complete Import Customs Entries and arrange deliveries.
  • Support the Import Operations team and the Air Import Supervisor with daily operational tasks.
  • Perform administrative duties across departments, including filing, scanning, and invoice query resolution.
  • Learn and execute all aspects of Air Imports, focusing on key accounts and operational tasks.
  • Ensure adherence to strict processes and procedures for accuracy and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Strong commitment to service quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Ability to liaise effectively with both overseas branches and internal customers.
  • Proficient in handling communications, including incoming calls and emails, ensuring clarity in bookings and special requirements.
  • Keen attention to detail for accurate documentation and cost management.
  • Familiarity with airfreight terminology, including Incoterms, and customs processes.
  • Capable of developing effective relationships and negotiating with carriers and overseas agents.
  • Competence in administrative duties, including filing and conducting inventory checks.
  • Understanding and adherence to work safety legislation, standards, and procedures.
