To support the People Business Partnering team in your Division in the provision of a comprehensive professional and high-quality HR service.

You will work closely with the People Business Partnering team to ensure the provision of an efficient and effective human resource service, which includes employee relations case management, recruitment, workforce planning, health and well-being and absence management.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Providing professional HR advice to all levels of managers across the full range of employee relations issues including disciplinary, performance improvement, early resolution, sickness absence, redeployment, in line with our policies and employment legislation.
  • Act as the contact point for managers and staff seeking advice on the interpretation and application of terms and conditions of service, employment law and employment policies and procedures. You will be required to analyse queries and offer solutions, including the identification of risks, escalating more complex queries to the relevant member of the People Business Partnering team.
  • Building credibility with managers through communicating information which may be complex or sensitive in a confident way.
  • You will be a central point of contact for the employee relations casework within your Division, liaising with all levels of staff and our trade unions in a professional way, dealing with confidential information on a daily basis. You will have a key role in making sure that we achieve our targets for the resolution of all employee relations cases.
  • You will be responsible for providing support to Investigating Officers for employee relations cases, including:o Organising investigation meetingso Liaising with trade union and staff-side representativeso Liaising with managers at all levels within the Trust
  • You will make arrangements for disciplinary and grievance hearings and appeal hearings, including arranging appropriate panel members (in accordance with our policies), booking rooms and sending notifications within the required timescales.
  • You will provide regular status updates to the People Business Partnering Team or HR Leads on the progress of our employee relations casework and will send weekly updates to all those involved in a formal casework process. A key part of your role will be to maintain the casework spread sheets and make sure that all documentation relating to each case is saved and accessible to the team.
