THE TECHNICAL ASSISTANT

Naturally, the Technical Assistant role has wide ranging responsibilities and duties will include:

Maintain materials and supplier database up to date.

• Request / Conduct materials traceability as per schedule
• Support the supplier approval process. Liaise with SA Manager / Purchasing team and suppliers to ensure all technical information regarding raw materials and packaging is received for approval within requested timeframes.
• Be part of HACCP, VACCP and TACCP team.
• Liaise with other Technical members and support with customer submission forms / finished product specifications / artwork process for new products where appropriate
• Liaise with NPD team and complete relevant technical documentation / activities for any product launches.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

We really need someone experienced who can hit the ground running from day 1! This is a fast-paced manufacturing site and ideally we need someone from a food or FMCG business. The Technical Assistant will need to have:

• A degree in Food Science/Food Technology
• Experience in a Technical role from within the food industry.
• Strong IT skills are essential for this role - Microsoft word, excel, power point.
• Experience using Microsoft Navision
• Effective planning and organisation skills
