Main Purpose of Role:

You will provide leadership and direction to Technicians and Contractors, ensuring the effective maintenance of premises, plant, and equipment within the Data Centre. You will be the primary point of contact for all works within the Data Centre, requiring a strong understanding of engineering, compliance, and contractual obligations in a hyperscale environment.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain client relationships to ensure high service levels.
  • Attend client meetings as required to discuss ongoing service and performance.
  • Ensure the Health and Safety of engineers, contractors, and visitors on site.
  • Collaborate with the Contract Support Team to maintain service consistency.
  • Communicate and implement business policies and processes effectively within the contract.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Provide solutions for development, training, and performance management.
  • Offer technical support to the team and clients across various services.
  • Monitor and report on service line KPIs monthly.
  • Lead efforts to meet and exceed contractual commitments.
  • Ensure service delivery aligns with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Prepare data for monthly Operational Reviews.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
  • Provide quotations and solutions for small project works.
  • Identify and pursue potential business opportunities within the Data Centre.
  • Oversee the planning and implementation of maintenance regimes.
  • Ensure statutory and client-required logs are maintained and up to date.
  • Manage Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules across sites.
  • Handle disciplinary actions and conflict resolution within the team.
  • Promote health, safety, and strong team culture throughout operations.
  • Serve as part of the escalation chain for incidents and site issues, providing technical support.
  • Undertake additional tasks as assigned by the Technical Manager.

Selection Criteria:

  • Strong background in Data Centre Engineering.
  • In-depth knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements.
  • Strong customer focus and ability to promote team spirit and morale.
  • Self-motivated, reliable, and professional with strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with all stakeholders.
  • Essential management and supervisory experience.
  • Essential knowledge and experience in critical works and planning.
  • Relevant M&E engineering qualification required.
