Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive - Berkshire

Salary: Competitive, based on experienceHours: Full-time, 35 hours per week (Monday to Friday)Are you a qualified Employment Solicitor or Legal Executive seeking a new opportunity to work with a dynamic and well-established legal team? Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking a motivated individual to join their Employment Department.The RoleYou will be responsible for delivering first-class legal services to clients, managing your own caseload, and supporting senior team members with more complex cases. This role offers exposure to a broad range of employment law matters, including litigated and non-litigated cases.Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a varied caseload of Employment Law matters, including settlement agreements and tribunal cases.
  • Provide legal advice to Trade Union officers via a dedicated advice line.
  • Support senior solicitors and partners on high-value or complex cases.
  • Ensure compliance with funding guidelines, regulatory standards, and client care protocols.
  • Develop and manage financial aspects of your caseload, including billing, WIP, and disbursements, to meet or exceed set targets.
  • Maintain exceptional client care and adhere to deadlines.

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor with a valid, clean Practising Certificate.
  • Strong academic background.
  • 3 years or more PQE in Employment Law with experience in contentious and advisory work.
  • Exceptional client care skills, with the ability to handle sensitive matters with confidentiality and empathy.
  • Excellent organisational and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on attention to detail.
  • IT proficiency, including experience with Microsoft Office and case management systems.
