Field Based Service Engineer

Salary: 32-34,000 per annum + healthy amounts of overtime + shift allowances

(opportunity to top up income between 8-15,000 per annum)

Our client is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Field Based Service Engineer to join their team specialising in hydraulic lifting equiptment. This role offers the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment, providing technical guidance and customer support. The successful candidate will be responsible for servicing, breakdown and repair, installation, and pre-installation checks. This role also includes out of hours assistance and continual training. What you'll do:

As a Field Based Service Engineer, your role will be multifaceted. You'll be the go-to person for technical guidance and customer breakdown support. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include servicing, breakdown repairs, installations, and pre-installation checks. You'll also offer out-of-hours assistance when necessary. Your role extends beyond the technical aspects; you'll participate in daily communications with the office and contribute to team meetings. This position requires a proactive individual who can handle various tasks efficiently.

  • Provide technical guidance and customer breakdown support
  • Perform servicing, breakdown and repair tasks
  • Assist with installations and pre-installation checks (PDI's)
  • Offer out of hours assistance when required
  • Maintain stock of parts on vehicle
  • Participate in daily contact with office, usually upon job completion
  • Contribute to team meetings covering Health & Safety, ISO9001 improvements, requests and changes, inspections
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as instructed by the Management Team
