Multimodal Operator

Right Now Group are working with a Freight Forwarder in Slough looking to bring aboard a Multi-Modal Export Operator responsible for both air and ocean exports.

Salary: £30,000-£32,000Location: Slough Shift: Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate air and ocean freight shipments, ensuring smooth transportation and timely delivery of goods.
• Book shipments with airlines, ocean carriers for both air and ocean freight exports.
• Prepare all required documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and internal procedures.
• Arrange collections with external parties and create bookings
• Provide quotations to customers and prospects
• Manage new bookings and receive pre-alerts.
• Prepare customs entries via CDS
• Negotiate terms and rates with carriers, optimising routes and identifying cost-effective shipping solutions.

Key Skills

• Knowledge in Cargowise is desirable
• Strong background within Air Exports and ideally a good understanding of Ocean Exports
• 2+ years' experience within a freight environment
• Full 5 year reference-able history
