Ocean Export Clerk

Right Now Group are working with a Freight Forwarder based in Slough looking to bring aboard a Multi-Modal Export Operator. They are looking for an experienced Ocean Export operator with a keen interest in learning Air Exports.

Salary: £33,000-£34,000Location: Slough Shift: Mon-Fri 9am-5:30pm

Responsibilities of a Multi-Modal Operative:

• Coordinate air and ocean freight shipments, ensuring smooth transportation and timely delivery of goods.
• Book shipments with airlines, ocean carriers for both air and ocean freight exports.
• Prepare all required documentation, ensuring compliance with customs regulations and internal procedures.
• Arrange collections with external parties and create bookings
• Provide quotations to customers and prospects
• Manage new bookings and receive pre-alerts
• Prepare customs entries via CDS
• Negotiate terms and rates with carriers, optimising routes and identifying cost-effective shipping solutions.

Desired:

• Either a background in Air Freight or Ocean Freight (Client willing to cross train if required )
• Experience within an Operator role
• Full 5 year referenceable history & DBS check required
