Store Manager

Our client, a Hair and Beauty suppliers are seeking a store manager to join their small and friendly team based in Slough. This is a full time, permanent position, offering a salary of up to £28,000 plus bonus, they are open 7 days a week, so some weekend work would be required.

What will you be doing?

As a Store Manager you will be responsible for managing, coaching and developing a team of Store Assistants who are driven to deliver high operational standards and become experts in the field of sales and service. You are responsible for ensuring a fully operational and compliant store at all levels. You have a commercial mindset, and you are able to think outside the box and have a plan to build new business opportunities to support the overall district business plan. You will coach & develop team members to high levels of service and selling skills. You will be managing and motivating store team to deliver targets, and you will be able to identify commercial trends, suggesting improvements to product range to drive business forward and identifying opportunities in store to grow sales. You will keep up to date on the hair and beauty industry, and the latest trends, products and brands. You will be responsible for recruiting, developing and the growth of the store team. You will build strong working relationships across the store, and you will be fully compliant with all Health & Safety procedures and relevant legal requirements, ensuring adequate controls to secure all company assets (store cash, products, data).

  • You will have experience in managing and motivating a high-performance team

  • With a passion for working in a retail/sales environment
  • You will have evidence of ability to use own initiative
  • You will be ambitious and willing to learn and develop themselves, with a passion for the industry.
  • You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills including IT proficiency.
  • You must be flexible in working hours and days, including weekends and holidays
  • You must be flexible to work at another location within reasonable travelling distance if required.
  • Previous sales experience is essential.
  • With experience of managing and motivating a high-performance team.
