Senior Supervising Social Worker - Connected Persons Team

The Role: as a Senior Supervising Social Worker, you will be at the heart of our Connected Persons Team, taking a lead role in assessing, approving, and supporting kinship carers. Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the assessment and approval process for kinship carers, ensuring the highest standard of care for children.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to Social Workers in the Connected Persons Team, ensuring best practice and adherence to policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure holistic support and interventions for children and families.
  • Oversee case management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records and timely reporting.
  • Champion the well-being and safety of children, promoting their best interests in all decisions.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the Connected Persons Team.

Requirements:

  • Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (SWE/HCPC) - ESSENTIAL
  • Extensive experience in kinship care and family placements.
  • Proven experience in supervising and supporting Social Workers.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policies in child protection and family support.
