Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the assessment and approval process for kinship carers, ensuring the highest standard of care for children.
- Provide expert guidance and support to Social Workers in the Connected Persons Team, ensuring best practice and adherence to policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with other agencies and professionals to ensure holistic support and interventions for children and families.
- Oversee case management, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records and timely reporting.
- Champion the well-being and safety of children, promoting their best interests in all decisions.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement and development of the Connected Persons Team.
Requirements:
- Social Work qualification and registration with Social Work England (SWE/HCPC) - ESSENTIAL
- Extensive experience in kinship care and family placements.
- Proven experience in supervising and supporting Social Workers.
- Strong knowledge of relevant legislation and policies in child protection and family support.
