Tezlom are currently recruiting for an Outreach Independent Domestic Violence Advocate (IDVA) support victims of domestic and sexual violence to work and keep victims and their families safe
Position:Outreach IDVA -Independent Domestic Violence Advocate
Location: Slough
Job Type: Temp to Perm
Hours: Full time hrs, Monday-Friday 9am-5pm
Pay Rates: £13.50
Responsibilities
- Provide emotional support, information, and practical advocacy
- Help the client understand their options and make informed decisions
- Advocate on behalf of client to address their needs
- Maintain accurate and confidential case management records
- Attend Child Protection and MARAC meetings
- Facilitate safeguarding referrals
- Keep other agencies informed about important changes in a client's situation
Skills and qualities
- Ability to work under pressure
- Experience dealing with caseloads
- Excellent literacy and written communication skills
- Strong listening skills
