About the RoleAs a Social Worker in the Children Looked After Team, you will be responsible for supporting children who are in long-term care. Your role will focus on care planning, placement stability, and promoting positive outcomes for children and young people.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a caseload of children in care, ensuring they receive the support they need.
- Develop and implement care and pathway plans that prioritise children’s well-being and future aspirations.
- Work closely with foster carers, residential homes, schools, and health professionals to provide holistic support.
- Ensure children’s voices and wishes are heard in all decisions affecting their lives.
- Conduct regular visits, reviews, and assessments to monitor progress and address any challenges.
- Work within legislation and statutory guidelines, ensuring the highest standards of care and safeguarding.
? A qualified Social Worker, registered with Social Work England.? Experience working in Children Looked After, Looked After Children (LAC), or child protection.? Strong care planning, risk assessment, and relationship-building skills.? A commitment to achieving the best possible outcomes for children in care.? Ability to work collaboratively with professionals, carers, and families.
