Specialist speech and language therapist HCPC Level C dysphagia competencies and experience working in adult acute setting. Desirable ICU experience including tracheostomy management .

The Specialist Speech and Language Therapist will deliver high-quality clinical services to adults within an acute care setting, focusing on the management of communication and swallowing disorders. The ideal candidate will hold Level C competencies in dysphagia management and demonstrate extensive experience in working with adult patients in an acute environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Clinical Expertise:

    • Provide specialized assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of communication and swallowing disorders in adult patients.
    • Utilize Level C dysphagia competencies to manage complex cases, including risk assessment, intervention planning, and implementation.
    • Apply evidence-based practice to inform clinical decisions and maintain high standards of patient care.
    • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adapting treatment plans as necessary to ensure effective outcomes.
