Are you a strategic procurement professional with a proven track record in the utilities or engineering sector? We are seeking a Group Supply Chain Manager to lead and optimise procurement strategies, supplier relationships, and purchasing processes across our organisation.

Location: Flexible/Remote (with occasional office working in Stockport or Borehamwood)

Skills & Experience

  • Extensive experience in procurement or supply chain management, ideally within utilities, engineering, or construction.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to drive collaboration and performance.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation abilities.
  • Experience with civils, utilities, and/or M&E supply chains.
  • Strategic mindset with strong analytical capabilities to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Expertise in contract negotiation and supplier relationship management.
  • Proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, procurement, or a related field (Master’s degree or CIPS certification desirable).
  • Deep understanding of procurement best practices, regulatory compliance, and industry trends.
  • Strong project management skills, capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Develop and manage procurement budgets, tracking expenditure and cost-saving measures to support financial objectives.
  • Leverage procurement technology solutions to enhance operational efficiency and data analytics capabilities.
  • Collaborate with finance, operations, and legal teams to integrate procurement activities into overall business processes.
  • Establish and oversee supplier performance management programmes, driving continuous improvement and compliance.
