Due to the nature of this role, previous experience is essential.

Hours of Work:

  • Monday to Friday Set Afternoon Shift
  • Monday to Thursday 14:00 till 23:00 & Friday 14:00 till 17:30

Rate of Pay:

  • £16.61-£17.59 per hour (Including Shift Allowance)
  • Fantastic Overtime rates

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate a variety of machines, including lasers, coil feeds, levellers, and roll-forming equipment
  • Adjust machine settings and tolerances to meet production specifications
  • Monitor equipment performance and make necessary adjustments to ensure consistent quality
  • Conduct inspections of raw materials and finished products to verify compliance with required standards
  • Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical or process-related issues quickly to minimize downtime
  • Accurately complete production documentation, labels, and quality records
  • Adhere to safety protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs), including 5S and TPM practices
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance and ensure proper care and storage of tools and equipment
  • Use overhead cranes and lifting devices safely for material handling
  • Assist in training and mentoring new or existing team members and provide support to Team Leaders when required

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Previous experience in a machine setting and/or operating role within a manufacturing environment
  • Strong mechanical understanding and ability to interpret technical drawings and production specifications
  • Proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
  • High attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Understanding of workplace safety and best practices in machine operation
