We have teamed up with a wonderful primary school in the Smethwick area who are looking for a experienced teaching assistant to join their team of dedicated staff. The position is due to start November 2024 on a ongoing basis, the school are looking for a candidate who is able to work 4 days a week from Tuesday to Friday.

Responsibilities of this role may include:- Assisting the classroom teacher in preparing and delivering lessons- Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help- Monitoring students' progress and providing feedback to the teacher- Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students- Supporting students with special educational needs and adapting activities to suit their requirements

To be successful within this position you must:- Strong communication skills: Effective communication with both students and teachers is essential for a teaching assistant to provide support and guidance in the classroom.- Patience and empathy: Dealing with children requires a great deal of patience and empathy to understand their individual needs and provide appropriate assistance.- Organizational skills: Being well-organized helps in managing classroom activities, resources, and schedules efficiently.- Flexibility and adaptability: The ability to adapt to changes and work in a dynamic environment is important for a teaching assistant.- Prior experience working with key stage 2 children and preferably knowledge of key stage 2 curriculum

Pay for this role will begin from £77.00 per day and will depend on experience and reference.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
