Immigration Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive

Working Locations Available: Smethwick, Wolverhampton or Brierley Hill, with hybrid working

Salary: Negotiable, commensurate with experience (c£35k to £40k as a guideline)

Our partner law firm is going through a period of substantial growth, having recently gone through a merger, taking them from one office to three offices in 2024, with another new office opening planned for 2025. This is a very exciting time to join the business and play a pivotal role in their continued success.

We are seeking an experienced, qualified Immigration Lawyer, with 3 years’+ PQE to join the business.  The firm offer fabulous opportunities for career progression as well as a very flexible approach to working, with work/life balance a high priority.

If you have additional experience in private family law and/or conveyancing, this can also be incorporated into the role for a more wide-ranging caseload if desired.

The role will involve:

• Taking instructions from clients
• Obtaining information from clients regarding their circumstances to assess whether they meet the immigration rules
• Managing a caseload of immigration files
• Drafting/sending out client care letters
• Obtaining documents to evidence that clients meet the requirements of the immigration rules
• Preparing and submitting applications for both personal and corporate immigration matters
• Dealing with skilled worker visas, sponsor licence applications etc.
• Dealing with appeals, judicial reviews, asylum, family reunification, and employment-based visas

Suitable candidates will have:

• Fully qualified status (solicitor or chartered legal executive)
• Around 3 years’+ PQE
• Experience of running an immigration caseload from start to finish
• Additional experience in family law and/or conveyancing (desirable but not essential)

This is a full-time permanent job working 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday.  Flexible hours will also be considered. Home working is available 2 days per week. Free parking is available at all three offices.
