We are recruiting for a Regional Health & Safety Advisor for specialist civil engineering contractor based near Southampton. The company are an established specialist in the groundworks, civil engineering, enabling and earthworks and RC frame marketplace

They work with a range of Tier 1 national contractors, Tier 2 and regional based businesses as well as some volume residential and developer led mixed use developments across Dorset, Hampshire, Surrey and West Sussex and a majority of their work is repeat business opportunities based on previous works completed on time, to budget with high quality finish and an exemplary safety record.

The role is to manage health, safety and well-being issues throughout the business, getting involved at precon, pqq and bid stages to promote the companies operations and values, and work with the site delivery teams on training, development, audits and effectively managing teams and subcontractors on site. You will also work with with the site management teams on site again at prestart to outline the company policy and standards expected, audit and check the staff and operations, work with them and help develop an atmosphere of mutual trust and 2 way communication - they are looking for people to engage and involve people rather than the outdated site policeman type of image.

You will also be responsible for the well-being and wider mental health of the staff and supply chain in the business, investing time to introduce industry leading programmes.

The role would suit someone currently working for a Tier 1 or large regional business as a trainee ready to make the jump forward or an established advisor with an interest in civil engineering and be able to implement your own ideas and would be highly beneficial if you have any experience in RC frames, groundworks, civil engineering.
