Chain Products Ltd is seeking an AAT qualified or qualified by experience recruit to join the team. The family owned and Solihull based Company specialises in the manufacture and distribution of chain and associated products. The position is part time in nature, currently 3 days per week. It would be an advantage, but not a necessity, for the candidate to have experience with SAGE 1000 or 200 accounting software. An immediate start would be beneficial in order to take advantage of hand over training.

Key responsibilities for the role are:

  • Purchase ledger - posting invoices, payments and reconciliations,and dealing with creditors
  • Sales ledger - cash receipts, chasing outstanding debtors
  • Liaising with legal representatives for the perusal of outstanding debts
  • Cash Management - posting bank/cash transactions, monthly bank reconciliation’s
  • Maintenance/reconciliations of staff expenses/company credit card & petty cash
  • Managing the day to day cashbook & cashflow on Excel
  • Monthly balance sheet reconciliations
  • Monthly close down of individual ledgers, report printing
  • Maintenance of full financial records and all ledgers and control accounts using Sage
  • Posting of monthly general ledger journals
  • Maintaining statutory records/filing annual returns
  • General administrative duties for the directors
  • Quarterly VAT returns/PVA reconciliations
  • Monthly payroll - Experience of Sage 50 payroll would be an advantage
  • Monthly pension submission
  • Online bacs payments

  • Qualifications - AAT qualified or qualified by experience
  • Experience in Preparation of annual accounts, using the accruals concept
