Job Title: Financial Controller Location: SolihullSalary: Up to £80,000 subject to experience

T2M Resourcing is recruiting a Financial Controller on behalf of a successful and growing services company. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic organisation where you will manage a small finance team and be a key member of the Senior Leadership Team. You’ll be responsible for managing the company’s financial operations, including management accounts, P&L, balance sheets, and transactional finance for a business within the group.

Key Responsibilities as Financial Controller:

  • Collaborate closely with senior leadership across the business, providing financial insights and advice on business decisions to drive growth and profitability
  • Prepare and deliver management accounts and budgets within set deadlines
  • Monitor, forecast, and manage cashflow effectively
  • Assist the installations team with submission of payment applications in accordance with contract deadlines
  • Record financial transactions across various projects, departments, and the company
  • Prepare accurate financial statements
  • Handle overall financial administration duties
  • Manage a small transactional finance team
  • Oversee and manage the Credit Control function
  • Prepare and submit CIS returns
  • Improve and manage financial systems, processes, and policies
  • Analyse financial performance and provide long-term forecasts
  • Lead the annual budgeting process
  • Support financial analysis and integration of acquisitions and other strategic projects

To be successful in the role of Financial Controller you will demonstrate the following skills and attributes;

  • Qualified Accountant (CIMA/ACCA/ACA or equivalent)
  • Experience working at a senior finance level within the Construction industry
  • Strong knowledge of Construction Accounting Principles, including CIS
  • Proven experience managing and leading a finance team
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving abilities
  • Sound commercial knowledge and business acumen
  • High attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
