Robert Half is recruiting for a Part Qualified Accountant to join a large organisation based in South Birmingham. You would be hired as the Management Accountant reporting directly into the financial controller.

This is an ideal role for someone who is looking to take a step into management accounts.

£35,000 - £40,000 depending on experience Hybrid working

Duties will include:

  • Weekly cash flow forecast including agreeing with intercompany counterparties.
  • Maintain the fixed asset and stock register.
  • Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and KPI reporting and ad-hoc analysis for senior management.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance against budget and flash, identify variances and opportunities for improvement.
  • Assist with Group Reporting
  • Maintaining balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with year-end audit process
  • Assist with VAT return preparation and submission
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in financial reporting and analysis.
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal controls, providing recommendations for improvement where necessary.
  • Performing other ad-hoc duties as required by the Financial Control or Finance Director.

Key Requirements:

  • Part Qualified accountant (actively studying)
  • Excellent Excel and data manipulation skills
  • Experience as a Management Accountant in fast-pasted changing environment
  • Ambitious with strong commercial acumen and proven business partnering skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
  • Proactive and self-motivated
