This role is heavily focused on reporting and requires a strong understanding of Excel, particularly in creating and editing V-Lookups. The manager of this team is highly skilled in Excel and is eager to provide additional training to help the successful candidate develop their technical skills even further.

Key Responsibilities:

Preparing financial reports and assisting with data analysis.
Performing reconciliations to ensure financial data accuracy.
Utilising Excel for reporting, including creating and editing V-Lookups.
Handling cash allocations and resolving queries related to the sales ledger.
Supporting the finance team with month-end processes.
Identifying opportunities to improve reporting and data efficiency.
Collaborating with other finance functions to ensure smooth operations.

Candidate Attributes and Skills:

Strong Excel skills, with experience creating and editing V-Lookups.
Previous experience in a sales ledger role (cash allocations, reconciliations, query resolution).
Passion for data and reconciliations, with an interest in progressing into an analyst role.
A degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent qualification (such as AAT).
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to start immediately or within a short notice period.
