About the Business

An opportunity to be a Senior Accounts Assistant for an accountancy firm based in Solihull. They are looking for a motivated accounts assistant, familiar with practice processes and solid understanding of bookkeeping duties. Role Responsibilities:

  • Support the finance team in preparing financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger entries
  • Assist in processing invoices and expense reports
  • Assistance in preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for companies, sole traders & partnerships
  • Personal and corporate tax return preparation & completion
  • Client bookkeeping and management accounts for a variety of businesses, using mainly Sage 50, Xero & QuickBooks
  • VAT return preparation & transmission
  • Prompt clients contact and liaison providing a top-class service, going the extra mile

Location / Office / Culture

The role is office based in Solihull. The company operate from a modern office consisting of a strong team of 30.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • AAT/CIMA are preferred
  • Solid understanding of Double-entry and Journals
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance assistant role
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills - be able to manage your ownworkload
  • Confident with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks
