An opportunity to be a Senior Accounts Assistant for an accountancy firm based in Solihull. They are looking for a motivated accounts assistant, familiar with practice processes and solid understanding of bookkeeping duties. Role Responsibilities:
- Support the finance team in preparing financial reports
- Reconcile bank statements and maintain general ledger entries
- Assist in processing invoices and expense reports
- Assistance in preparing year-end accounts and financial statements for companies, sole traders & partnerships
- Personal and corporate tax return preparation & completion
- Client bookkeeping and management accounts for a variety of businesses, using mainly Sage 50, Xero & QuickBooks
- VAT return preparation & transmission
- Prompt clients contact and liaison providing a top-class service, going the extra mile
Location / Office / Culture
The role is office based in Solihull. The company operate from a modern office consisting of a strong team of 30.
What We Are Looking For
The ideal candidate will have:
- AAT/CIMA are preferred
- Solid understanding of Double-entry and Journals
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in finance assistant role
- Excellent communication and organisational skills - be able to manage your ownworkload
- Confident with Sage, Xero, QuickBooks
