BI Developer - Solihull / Hybrid - £55 - £60k plus 10% bonus

Location: Solihull / Hybrid (1 - 2 days per week on site after initial 1 month of training. 5 days per week on site during training)

The role

Our vision is to innovate new solutions, utilising the technologies available to us to aid us to work more efficiently to fulfil business reporting needs, ensuring there is secure and authorised access to reliable data at the right time to the business users, to allow them to make better, informed and timely decisions.

Reporting to the European BI Solutions Manager, this role works as part of a team of 3 people and is responsible for creating the ETL to integrate the data sourced from disparate payroll systems and the Peoplesoft financial system into a European data warehouse. The data is reported to the business users via Cognos for generating various sales, margin and compensation reports and to aid with strategic planning and business decision-making.

The role of BI Developer will support existing data integration as well as the creation of new data integration routines, supporting the data warehouse architecture, and ensuring data quality. The BI Developer will work closely with the local Finance teams to resolve data issues and applying fixes to ensure our weekly and monthly deadlines are met.

The Person / Experience required

  • Experienced BI Developer
  • Experience of using Microsoft SQL Server (preferably 2022)
  • Advanced T-SQL (SSMS)
    • Stored procedures/views/functions
    • Error handling
    • Dynamic SQL
    • Merge statements
  • Visual Studio SSIS - ETL
  • Data Warehouse development
  • Previous experience of Python, Cognos or Github would be an advantage.
