Smart Education are currently recruiting for teaching assistants to support with holiday cover, absences and temporary contracts in a number of schools across Solihull.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting the educational and social needs of our pupils. Any previous experience as a teaching assistant, particularly within Primary schools, would be preferred. Knowledge of the national curriculum will also be advantageous in creating a stimulating learning environment.

Job Requirements of a Teaching Assistant:

  • Level 3 qualification as a teaching assistant or equivalent
  • Proven experience as a teaching assistant in primary schools
  • Strong knowledge of the national curriculum as a teaching assistant
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills as a teaching assistant with staff, colleagues, pupils and parents
  • A passion for working with children and supporting their educational journey as a teaching assistant
  • Either possessing and enhanced DBS check on the update service or willing to obtain one.
  • Understanding of and experience with safeguarding practises as a teaching assistant
