Our client is seeking a skilled and versatile individual to join their team as a General Workshop Operative. Theirs is a well established business in the Solihull area and they have been established for nearly 30 years. This is a full time role, temporary to permanent, Monday - Friday.
The most important thing will be your attitude towards learning, punctuality, and working as a team member.
Our client works within the manufacturing industry and within the automotives sector, undertaking the manufacturing of conveyor systems.
The ideal candidate will have the experience in:
- Using various hand and power tools.
- Operating a guillotine and brake press.
- Reading and interpreting technical drawings.
- Operating a 5-tonne overhead crane (an advantage).
- Loading and unloading deliveries.
- Performing general workshop duties.
- Conducting basic machine operations.
- Using a band saw for steel cutting.
- Managing stock control.
- Prioritizing tasks and adopting flexible working methods.
- Working effectively within a team environment.
- Maintaining general housekeeping standards.
- 2 years experience essential
- Overtime may be available with weekend work all at a premium rate
Desirable
FLT Counterbalance Licence
