With a team of six to guide and the responsibility to shape strategies across the diverse operations, you’ll be making an impact that matters.As Head of Health & Safety you will:
  • Lead and manage the Group’s H&S team, ensuring provision timely and up to date advice and support to the Business across all areas of operation.
  • Play an active role as a member of the Senior Leadership Group, owning the performance and reporting of metrics across H&S.
  • Provide regular reporting of key H&S information to the Group Board on a monthly basis.
  • Support venue GMs in the delivery of a structured monthly H&S review and deputise where necessary.
  • Chair a 6-monthly senior health & safety review to ensure the Group senior stakeholders are aware of business area performance and all significant updates.
  • Develop, implement and maintain a suitable Health and Fire Safety management system, including incident and emergency planning (IEP), to ensure the Business complies with its statutory obligations.
  • Lead initiatives ensuring regular liaison with Business Units to optimise ways of working together to improve protection.

  • Demonstrable relevant Health and Fire Safety experience in a large-scale, high paced industry.
  • NEBOSH qualification or equivalent.
  • CMIOSH status or be working towards.
  • Ability to present complex subject matter solutions to Board-level colleagues.
  • An ability to demonstrate some knowledge and understanding of Employee Relations (approaches, issues and initiatives) & Personnel Practices is desirable but not essential.
