Our client is an large Housing Association who are dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults. The Role Duties


As a Tenancy Sustainment Assistant, you will:

  • Manage and prioritise your own caseload, ensuring efficient and timely support for housing applicants.

  • Process housing register applications, changes of circumstances, and maintain the accuracy of the housing register.

  • Communicate effectively with internal and external customers via phone, email, letter, or face-to-face.

  • Liaise with Registered Social Providers to advertise properties and exchange information.

  • Maintain email inboxes, update computerised systems, and produce spreadsheets, newsletters, and shortlists for property allocations.

  • Support Tenancy Sustainment Advisors and Officers, and provide cover for team members as needed.

  • Undertake tasks to end tenancies, including processing void properties and liaising with relevant teams.

  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and statutory duties, including safeguarding and data protection.

The Successful Candidate

They are looking for someone who:

  • Has excellent IT and computer skills, with the ability to maintain accurate records and produce detailed reports.

  • Possesses strong communication skills, both written and verbal, and a polite, tactful, and friendly manner.

  • Demonstrates excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and manage their own workload effectively.

  • Works well as part of a team and is committed to delivering high-quality customer service.

  • Has an understanding of housing allocation policies and procedures (desirable but not essential).

  • Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people, and vulnerable adults.
