GMP Recruitment are proud to be partnered with a hugely successful legal firm located in Birmingham. We are recruiting on their behalf for an experienced Probate Solicitor to join their team for a full time, permanent position, located across their Birmingham-based offices. A hybrid-working approach is available for the right candidate.
The position will be working 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. They are offering a highly competitive salary of up to £75k.
The ideal candidate for this position will be a qualified Solicitor with experience within the field of Probate and be a very organised individual with the ability to supervise junior members of staff.
Probate Solicitor main duties:
- Handle a mixed caseload of high-quality matters including disputes between beneficiaries and executors or trustees regarding the performance of their duties and the administration of estates of trusts.
- Supervise and provide guidance to junior staff members.
- Advise, assist and represent clients, always maintaining an exceptionally high standard of client care.
- Accurately record all chargeable and non-chargeable time, ensuring that the billing of files is carried out efficiently and at the earliest opportunity.
- To contribute to marketing/business development for the firm including identifying and facilitating internal cross selling opportunities and carrying out business development activities.
Probate Solicitor required skills and experience:
- Degree in Law or appropriate field.
- 10 years’ PQE in Contentious Probate.
- ACTAPS qualification is advantageous but not essential.
- Able to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Approachable and well-presented.
- If you have a client network, this would be advantageous but is not essential.
