Edge Careers are working closely with a key client that's looking for an experienced indvidual to come into the team as Plant Manager.

Our client is a 'Groundworks/Civils Contractor' so experience within this sector or Construction is important.

Our client would be keen to speak with experienced Plant Managers or any indviduals that are working as a Plant Buyer, Hire Controller, Assistant Plant Manager, Plant CoOrdinator etc

This role will be to oversee the plant department, which includes managing the Yard and diggers, excavators, dumpers, and other plant equipment etc. Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the plant department, contributing to the overall success of the company's projects.

Key Responsibilities:


• Oversee the management and maintenance of all plant equipment, including diggers, excavators, and dumpers.
• Ensure all plant equipment is operated safely and efficiently.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and safety protocols.
• Procurement of Plant  
• Coordinate with project managers to ensure plant equipment meets project needs.
• Monitor and control plant department budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness.
• Implement and maintain inventory control systems for plant equipment and parts.
• Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Provide regular reports to senior management on plant operations and performance.

Requirements:


• Proven experience as a Plant Manager | Plant Co-Ordinator or in a similar managerial role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of plant equipment including diggers, excavators, and dumpers.
• Excellent leadership and team management skills.
• Strong organisational and multitasking abilities.
• Proficient in budget management and cost control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and make informed decisions.
• Commitment to maintaining high safety and quality standards.
