Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher of English to join their team. This position offers the opportunity to work in collaboration with a reputable secondary school in the Solihull area, starting in January 2025 on a full-time basis (or earlier if possible).

As a Teacher of English with Zest Education, you will play a pivotal role in inspiring and educating students in a vibrant and supportive learning environment. The school is located in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The successful candidate will be joining a fast paced and hard-working environment, the school supports training and development for all of its staff and is continually looking for strong team players to join them.

Key responsibilities:- Plan and teach engaging lessons that motivate the students in your subject and cater to the needs of diverse learners- Mark and assess students work and track student progression- Have excellent curriculum knowledge that continues to develop with the advances in the subject - particularly the new and engaging ways to teach English as the subject continues to evolve.- Have strong behaviour management skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

To apply for this role, you will need:

  • QTS - Qualified Teacher status in English (ECT’s, formerly known as NQT’s, are encouraged to apply)
  • Excellent subject knowledge of English in Key Stages 3 (KS3) and 4 (KS4) is essential
  • Excellent behaviour and classroom management skills
  • A strong school reference from your recent employer/placement

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
