SEN Teaching Assistant - Primary SEMH School - Solihull (B93) - Full-Time

Are you a compassionate and resilient Teaching Assistant looking for a rewarding role in an SEMH school? We're working with a fantastic school in Solihull that supports pupils with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs.

This is a full-time position for someone with experience working in SEN settings, particularly supporting children with SEMH. If you're patient, understanding, and passionate about helping young learners thrive, we'd love to hear from you!



Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support, helping students with their learning and emotional development
  • Assist the teacher in creating engaging and structured lessons that cater to individual needs
  • Implement effective behaviour management strategies to create a calm, nurturing environment
  • Support students in developing social skills, self-regulation, and confidence
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and parents to ensure students receive the best possible support


What We're Looking For:

  • Experience working with children with SEMH needs, ideally in an SEN or primary school setting
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach
  • A positive, encouraging attitude with the ability to build trust with pupils
  • A passion for helping children develop both academically and emotionally
  • Team Teach Training (desirable but not essential)
