Gleeson are recruiting for a Propositions Manager on behalf of our client in Solihull. They are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to drive customer value and innovation within our product offerings.

As the Head of Product Innovation and Strategy, you will oversee the entire product lifecycle, from ideation to market launch, ensuring that products meet customer needs, align with business strategies, and adhere to regulatory standards.

In this role, you will champion product expertise, collaborate cross-functionally, and lead product development efforts that contribute to growth and market leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the lifecycle of all regulated and non-regulated products within the business, ensuring they meet customer expectations and align with business goals.
  • Lead new product development initiatives and horizon scanning to identify market opportunities and emerging trends.
  • Develop and present compelling business cases to drive innovation, gain stakeholder support, and secure necessary resources for product development.
  • Collaborate with key internal teams (Operations, Compliance, Pricing, Underwriting, Marketing, Sales) and third-party product manufacturers to bring new products to market.
  • Manage product planning, testing, and approval processes, ensuring alignment with best practices and company policies.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps that reflect business strategy, customer needs, and market demands.
  • Oversee products and manage product end-of-life processes or market retractions as needed.
  • Monitor product performance, prepare compliance reporting, and assist with product pricing, profitability analysis, and cost assessments.
  • Uphold the principle of putting customers first, ensuring all activities align with The Consumer Duty and company policies.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in leading product innovation, development, and management in a regulated environment.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to develop compelling business cases and secure stakeholder support.
  • Expertise in working with cross-functional teams and third-party partners to deliver market-leading products.
  • Demonstrated experience in regulatory compliance and ensuring product quality and safety.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage product portfolios and oversee product lifecycle management.
  • Strong understanding of data protection regulations, including GDPR and DPA.
  • Familiarity with risk management frameworks and enterprise risk strategies.

This role will be based out of our client's offices in Solihull 3 days per week. Our client are offering a salary of £38-42k.
