Our client, a respected law firm in the heart of Somerset, is seeking an experienced Deputy Team Leader to support their thriving Conveyancing department. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled conveyancer to take on a leadership role within a supportive and collaborative team.

Position Overview

The Deputy Team Leader will work closely with the Head of Conveyancing to oversee the department's operations across multiple offices. In addition to managing a varied caseload of residential property transactions, the successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the team delivers exceptional client service and maintains the firm's high standards.

Responsibilities
  • Administer all aspects of residential conveyancing transactions

  • Demonstrate practical knowledge of relevant property law

  • Undertake necessary research to provide accurate advice

  • Maintain the highest level of client service

  • Achieve time and billing targets while managing caseload

  • Ensure client matters are progressed effectively

  • Establish strong working relationships with colleagues

  • Contribute to department workflow and client projects

  • Build client relationships through exceptional client care

Requirements
  • Solicitor or Legal Executive with 4+ years PQE in Residential Property

  • Excellent time management and communication skills

  • Ability to stay current with changes in legislation

  • High levels of integrity and confidentiality

  • Confidence in managing own caseloads

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and case management systems
