About the RoleAs a Sales Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing sales strategies to grow new and existing business.

This is a home-based position, providing flexibility while requiring occasional travel to work closely with customers, partners, and internal teams. You'll be part of a company that prides itself on delivering high efficiency, reliability, and technical excellence to its clients.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales and marketing efforts for service packages and spare parts in the UK rail sector.
  • Formulate, execute, and manage sales strategies for rail and marine products.
  • Build and maintain strategic partnerships with OEMs, ROSCOs, TOCs, and service providers.
  • Prepare and review quotations, tenders, and commercial inquiries to support sustainable sales growth.
  • Deliver technical support and conduct impactful product presentations for customers and at exhibitions.
  • Analyse and report on market trends to identify growth opportunities.
  • Create and maintain a healthy sales pipeline and consistently deliver against targets.

What You Bring

  • A degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering (HNC or similar).
  • Experience in sales within the UK rail sector; marine industry experience is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of mechanical rail components, with electrical systems knowledge as an advantage.
  • Proven experience in key account management or business development.
  • Strong contacts within the UK rail industry and a proactive approach to generating new opportunities.
  • Excellent organisational, presentation, and negotiation skills.
