Job Advertisement: ESOL & KS4 Lecturer (Maternity Cover)Employment Basis: Fixed Term (Salaried)Location: CroydonSalary Range: £30,760 - £40,113 pro rata (subject to qualifications, skills, and experience)We are seeking a dedicated and passionate ESOL & KS4 Lecturer to join our team on a fixed-term maternity cover contract. As part of our commitment to providing high-quality education, the successful candidate will play a key role in delivering excellent teaching and learning to ESOL students and preparing young people for their next steps, including university applications via UCAS.
Key Responsibilities:- Deliver engaging and effective ESOL lessons to students at various levels.
- Provide high-quality teaching for KS4 students, preparing them for their next academic milestones.
- Support and guide students through the UCAS process for university applications.
- Ensure that lessons are tailored to meet the individual needs of learners, with a focus on progression and achievement.
- Implement safeguarding protocols and work with vulnerable learners to provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to improve teaching practices and student outcomes.
- A teaching qualification (ideally at Level 5).
- An ESOL qualification (preferably at Degree Level).
- Proven experience in teaching ESOL within the Further Education sector.
- Experience in guiding students through the UCAS process for university applications.
- A sound understanding of safeguarding and experience working with vulnerable learners.
