Description

Role Purpose:

Providing support within the Business Partnering function dealing with routine employee relations queries such as grievances, disciplinaries, capability, sickness absence, providing advice and guidance to managers and triaging as appropriate.

Providing operational support to the implementation of the People, Culture Transformation Strategy as directed.

Key Accountabilities:

>Providing support to directorates on complex employee relations queries, including grievances, sickness, disciplinary etc, supporting line managers in resolving matters at an early stage.

>Updating resources and information to support the effective resolution of cases.Being responsible for updating case logs and activities as required.

>Updating policies and procedures under the guidance of the HR Policy and Equalities Lead to ensure that they are compliant with legislation and present best practice.

>Assisting the HR Assistants to respond to policy queries via the HR inbox.

>To be the first port of call for Occupational health, ensuring referrals are undertaken and followed up upon.

>Liaising with the HR Business Partners regarding reasonable adjustments and monitoring and recording all such requests.

>To act as an internal reference point within the HR Service, co-ordinating responses to FOI, SAR and complaints ensuring that these are responded to within the appropriate timescales.

>To provide support to the HR Business Partners in restructures/redesigns.

>Taking notes at meetings as required.

>Supporting corporate wide projects and programmes.

Essential experience:

Experience of working within an employee relations setting, dealing with ER cases and activity.

Previous experience of using HR systems e.g. Oracle

Experience of working as part of a team

Experience of managing conflicting priorities effectively to achieve business objectives

Experience of providing a customer focused service

Experience of minute taking

Experience of building effective relationships and working closely with managers to deliver organisational focused outcomes.
