Immigration & Family Solicitor

We are seeking an Immigration & Family Solicitor to manage a diverse caseload encompassing both immigration and family law matters. This role is ideal for a candidate with experience in both fields, capable of providing sound legal advice and representing clients effectively in hearings and settlements. You will be instrumental in ensuring excellent client care and efficient case management.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Advise clients on a range of immigration matters including visa applications, asylum, citizenship, deportation, and human rights issues.
  • Represent clients in immigration hearings and appeals.
  • Handle family law matters such as divorce, child custody, financial settlements, and domestic violence cases.
  • Represent clients in family court hearings and assist with the preparation of legal documents like divorce petitions and child arrangements.
  • Draft and review legal documents, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant laws.
  • Provide clear, empathetic advice to clients, maintaining strong communication throughout their cases.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs and offer tailored legal solutions.
  • Stay updated on legal changes in both immigration and family law.
  • Manage a mixed caseload, ensuring timely and efficient case handling.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to deliver comprehensive legal services.
  • Offer proactive legal support, aiming for positive outcomes for clients in both immigration and family law cases.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as an Immigration & Family Solicitor with at least 1 year PQE.
  • Strong ability to handle both immigration and family law cases.
  • Excellent legal drafting and document review skills.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to provide empathetic legal advice.
  • Ability to manage a diverse caseload with efficiency and care.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of the latest legal developments in immigration and family law.
  • Licensed to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
