Academics are looking for a passionate and dedicated 1:1 Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to provide tailored support to a child with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Croydon.

Role Overview: 1:1 LSA - Croydon

As a 1:1 LSA, you will play a vital role in providing personalized support to a child with specific learning needs. Your support will help the child access the curriculum, engage with peers, and grow in confidence and independence. You'll work closely with the classroom teacher and the SEN team to deliver targeted interventions and create a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities: 1:1 LSA - Croydon

  • Provide 1:1 support for a child with SEN, helping them with daily tasks and activities.
  • Assist with both academic work and social interactions, ensuring the child feels included and supported.
  • Implement individual education plans (IEPs) and strategies, adapting your approach to the child's needs.
  • Work closely with the class teacher, SENCO, and other professionals to monitor progress and share feedback.
  • Encourage and promote positive behaviour, independence, and confidence in the child's abilities.

What We're Looking For: 1:1 LSA - Croydon

  • Passion for working with children, particularly those with special educational needs.
  • Patience, empathy, and adaptability in supporting children's individual learning journeys.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team.
  • Prior experience working in an educational setting or with SEN children is beneficial, but not essential-training will be provided.
  • A genuine commitment to helping children succeed academically, socially, and emotionally.
