Role Overview:

The Void Surveyor is responsible for managing the Void process, ensuring efficient back-office control, providing solutions, and directly resolving issues. This role supports the technical and managerial team, deputizes for team members and management, and oversees contractor performance and budget management for works excluded from the repairs contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Back Office Control: Manage and control information for inspections and contractor management, ensuring timely completion.
  • Support and Deputizing: Provide full support to the technical and managerial team, deputizing in key areas such as team direction, contractor performance, and budget management.
  • Quotations and Commissioning: Obtain competitive quotes for larger repair works and commission consultants for structural or specialist areas as necessary.
  • Supervision: Supervise void and structural works on-site.
  • Priority Management: Ensure repairs are turned around quickly to prevent issues from escalating into breach disrepair.
  • Progress Updates: Update repairs and operation managers on progress, problem-solving issues, and adhering to best practices.
  • Order Management: Raise orders and manage works to prevent disrepair cases and reputational damage.
  • Photographic Documentation: Upload pre and post-inspection photographs to SharePoint.
  • Weekly Updates: Provide weekly updates on repairs and disrepair to the repairs technical and operations managers.
  • Partner Collaboration: Work with partners to agree on variations to ongoing works, ensuring no delays.
